Police want to trace 30-year old psychotic patient

Police are appealing for the public�s help in tracing a 30-year-old man who is missing.

Ashley Ponsonby, from Blackley, has not been seen since leaving Redwood Ward at Park House, North Manchester General Hospital at around 12.30pm on 2 March 2010.

He suffers from a psychotic disorder and is not believed to have his medication. He does not pose a risk the public, but concern is growing for his welfare.

He is described as being white, 5ft 11ins tall, of medium build, with short dark hair, brown eyes and has a Southern accent.

When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, an Adidas grey hooded top and a white T-shirt featuring Pagan symbols and a goat�s head. He was wearing grey trainers with orange stripes and a black hat with flaps over the ears. He was carrying a large rucksack.

Ashley has said in the past that he would like to travel, particularly to Holland, to look for work.
