Council Tax To Rise By 2.45%
Posted on Wed 24 Feb 2010
Council tax in Tameside is set to rise by 2.45% from 1st April 2010. This means rises from 27p per week for a band A property to 50p per week for a Band E property.
The rise, announced at the Council meeting on 23rd February by Executive Leader Councillor Roy Oldham, is the third lowest in Greater Manchester and is in line with the council‘s promise to put up council tax by 9% or less over the last 3 years.
