TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE FOR TAMESIDE HOSPITAL

Tameside Hospital is soon to see transformational changes as it launches an improvement programme called 'Everyone Matters at Tameside'. The programme will be launched later this month with the help of staff and patient groups.
Events are currently being organised to give more oppurtunites for staff to speak.
The first of these events is 'Big Conversations' - a number of conversations which will give everybody in the hospital the chance to tell it like the see it.
Secondly 'Patient Experience' which involves the hospital teaming up with the LINk group to listen to patient groups and individuals about stories, both good and bad.
Also, 'Sharing Good News' in which staff will be asked to inform the trust about good things which are happening within the hospital so the public can be informed.
Since we reported a few months back the high mortality rates at Tameside Hospital, a number of improvements have occured including investment in nursing staff; a new clinical building opening in December; an improving mortality rate and an incrasing number of consultants.
